Seminole

Seminole resident, Kenny Glenn Stanberry, passed away Friday, October 4, 2024, in Oklahoma City.

Kenny, the son of Kenneth Ray and Alene (Griggs) Stanberry, was born May 14, 1947, in Richmond, California. He grew up in the Seminole area and attended Wolf Schools. Kenny proudly served in the US Army. A craftsman most of his life, Kenny’s specialty was cabinetry and fine woodworking. In 2000, Kenny moved to New Mexico and over the next several years he lived in New Mexico and Arizona, before returning to Oklahoma earlier this year. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, along with hiking and camping in the mountains. In addition to his military service, Kenny also proudly served as a member and a sponsor for NA, his true passion. He received his 30-year pin in August of 2024. Kenny used his inspirations and knowledge to help others clean their lives from alcohol and substance abuse. Never seeing the bad in their past, but the good in their future.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and his brother and sister.

Kenny is survived by his sons, Mark Stanberry, of Seminole, Daniel Stanberry, of Tulsa, Isaac Stanberry, of Shawnee, and Joshua Stanberry, of Shawnee; four grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.
