Kenneth "Kenny" Castle

Kenneth “Kenny” E. Castle, longtime Seminole resident, passed away on Tuesday, July 11, 2023 in Seminole, at the age of 72, alongside the love of his life, Shirley Castle.  Kenny was born on July 8, 1951 in Columbia City, Indiana to John Wesley Castle and Lois Joy (Blanchard) Castle.  He grew up and spent most of his life in Seminole, OK. He married Shirley Jean Yancey on August 27, 1973 in Seminole, OK.

Kenny enjoyed fishing, collecting model cars, knives and swords, camping, spending time with family and arguing with Shirley. He worked as a truck driver.

Kenny is survived by grandson, Christian Castle; three brothers, Jack Castle and wife, Millie of Seminole, OK, Phillip Donald Castle of Seminole, OK and Emmit Curtis Houck of Little River, South Carolina; sister, Patti Castle of Sapulpa, OK; sister-in-law, Carolyn Castle of Seminole, OK; numerous nieces and nephews and many other family and friends.

Kenny was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Leslie Castle; sisters, Shirley (Chris) Houck and Edie West and brothers, Thomas Castle and Anthony Houck.

Memorial services for Shirley and Kenny will be held on Tuesday, July 25, 2023 at 3:00 p.m. at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel in Seminole, Oklahoma with Pastor Jimmy Moreland officiating.
