Clyde “Kenneth” Williams, 68 year-old, Wewoka resident passed from this life July 13, 2009 at Oklahoma Heart Hospital in Oklahoma City. He was born January 31, 1941 in Claremore, Oklahoma to parents Edmond Johnson and Nora Williams. Kenneth served in the United States Navy then he worked as an electronics engineer draftsman for many years in the Houston, Texas area until his retirement in 1993. Following his retirement he moved back to Seminole County making his home in Wewoka, Oklahoma. He had been married to his first wife, Cherry (Woods) Williams and later married his second wife Betty (Jones) Williams to whom he was married for 30 years until her death in 2002. Kenneth was a member of the Achena Presbyterian Church in Maud, Oklahoma. Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Lorie Williams of Maud, Oklahoma; two daughters, Cheryl Williams of Wewoka, Oklahoma and Rene Williams of Maud, Oklahoma; three brothers, Lindsey Bondoni of McLoud, Oklahoma, Art Cline of Maud, Oklahoma and David Johnson of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; three sisters, Vera Whitlock of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Linda West of Locust Grove, Oklahoma and Gloria Joshua of Sapulpa, Oklahoma; special cousin, Isaac Williams of Seminole, Oklahoma and a special friend, Elcie Winslow of McLoud, Oklahoma; Kenneth is also survived by a host of other family and dear friends. Kenneth is preceded in death by his parents; step-father, Leo Harrison; his wife of 30 years, Betty Williams who died in 2002; and by one brother Jerry Cline who died in 1983. A wake service is scheduled for 6:30 p.m., Wednesday at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel in Seminole with Rev. Houston Tiger officiating. Funeral services are scheduled for 1:00 p.m., Thursday, July 16, 2009 at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel in Seminole, Oklahoma. Rev. Houston Tiger and Rev. Fred West will officiate the service. Interment will follow at the Williams Family Cemetery near Maud, Oklahoma with Military Honors being provided by the Seminole Nation Honor Guard. Casket Bearers will be: Sandy Williams, Chevy Cline, Paul Williams, Hershal Davis, Rickey Cline and Frankie Williams. Honorary Bearers will be: Charlie Williams, Raymond Harjo, Stanley Long, Johnny Cline and Keetha Williams. Services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home – Seminole, Oklahoma.
