Kenneth Jack Whitley, 58, longtime Seminole, Oklahoma resident, died Monday, July 6, 2015 in Seminole. Kenneth was born November 25, 1956 in Seminole, Oklahoma to Sherman Otis and Gladys Billie (Wallace) Whitley. Kenneth grew up in Arizona and moved back to Seminole at the age of 16. Kenneth graduated from SeminoleHigh School in 1975. He had spent over 30 years working on Drilling Rigs as a chain hand, work for many companies but mainly for Darrell Mackey Drilling Company. Kenneth was a member of the FirstBaptistChurch in Seminole, Oklahoma. He loved to fish, go camping, play pool, ride horses and travel and spend time with his grand children. Kenneth married Melissa (Mulkey) Whitley on February 4, 1977 in Seminole. Kenneth is survived by his loving wife Melissa Whitley of the home in Seminole, Oklahoma, two daughters Jamie Vazquez and her husband Saul of Seminole, Oklahoma and Jennifer McDugle and her wife Sabra of Haskell, Oklahoma, His mother Billie Gladys Whitley of Seminole, Oklahoma, two brothers Jimmy Whitley and his wife Charlotte of Seminole, Oklahoma and David Whitley and his wife Brenda of Seminole, Oklahoma, five grandchildren Migel Vazquez, Olivia Vazquez, Brianna Woods, Bradyn Woods, Bryce Woods, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father and a brother Keith Whitley. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Wednesday, July 8, 2015 at the First Baptist Church in Seminole, Oklahoma with Marvin Kehl officiating. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole.
