Kenneth Doyle Mendenhall, 86, longtime Seminole resident, passed away, Friday, December 4, 2020 in Springfield, Missouri. Kenneth was born March 27, 1934 in St. Louis, Oklahoma to Earl Henry Mendenhall and Rachel Edna (Adams) Mendenhall. Kenneth served his country in the United States Army. Kenneth married Barbara Anglin on August 29, 1954 in Seminole, Oklahoma. They were married for 65 years until Barbara's death on April 18, 2020.
Kenneth was a longtime Real Estate Broker and Auctioneer in Seminole with United Country Real Estate. He was also well known with his association with Paul’s Auto Supply in Seminole. Kenneth was a longtime active member of the Seminole Lion’s Club where he served the club in various offices through the years. He was also a member of the Masonic Lodge of Seminole.
Those left to cherish Kenneth's memory are his daughter; Kathy Trammell and her husband Ronny of Drury, Missouri, his brother; Joe Mendenhall of Yale, Oklahoma, his sisters; Earlene Whitehead and her husband David of Drumright, Oklahoma, Carolyn Copeland and her husband Tom of Crescent, Oklahoma and Rita Sneed and her husband Leslie of Yale, Oklahoma, five grandchildren and nineteen great-grandchildren. Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Barbara (Anglin) Mendenhall, who passed away April 18, 2020, his daughter; Martha (Mendenhall) Lancaster, sons; David Lee and Robert Mendenhall, grandchildren; Curtis Mendenhall, Jonathan Mendenhall and Katina Clark, brothers; Jerry and Robert Mendenhall and Al Kindall and sisters-in-law; Diana Mendenhall, Phyllis Mendenhall and Darlene Mendenhall.
There will be no viewing for Kenneth, but a book will be available for signing at Swearingen Funeral Home.
Memorial graveside services with Military Honors and a Masonic Ceremony will be at 10:00 A.M., Saturday, December 19, 2020 at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens in Seminole, Oklahoma with Carl Ray officiating.
Services will be under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, Oklahoma.
