Kenneth C. King, Sr., 76, longtime Seminole, Oklahoma resident passed away Monday, December 24, 2018 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Kenneth was born November 7, 1942 in Seminole, Oklahoma to Forrest “F.G.” Garland King and Luetta Lydia (Zumwalt) King. Kenneth was retired from Grace Petroleum as a Rig Supervisor and had worked for Jerry Scott Drilling Company and Bronco Drilling, Austin Drilling, Johnson-Bates Drilling, Ackerman Drilling and Sloan Drilling. After retirement from Grace Petroleum, he opened and owned KK’s Barbeque in Seminole. He loved horses, horse racing, fishing, cooking barbeque, spending time with his family, watching his grandkids in all their activities, and going to casino’s. Kenneth was married to Betty Joan (Blackwood) King, in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma and they enjoyed their many years together. Kenneth is survived by his loving wife Betty King of Seminole, Oklahoma; three sons; Bruce and Tina King of Corinth, Texas, Kenny and Jennifer King of Altus, Oklahoma and Lance and Laura King of Seminole, Oklahoma, his brother Bill King of Seminole, Oklahoma, three sisters Linda Hall of Washington, Oklahoma, Jan McElhaney and husband Ken of Edmond, Oklahoma and Marilyn Revas of Moore, Oklahoma; nine grandchildren; Hannah King, Carli King, Casie Weatherford, Austin Weatherford, Kasey King, Kody King, Lane King, Landry King and Lilea King. He was preceded in death by his parents and a daughter; Tammy King. There will be a Reception and Gathering of Friends and Family for Kenneth from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M., on Friday, December 28, 2018 at the Swearingen Funeral Home reception room, in Seminole, Oklahoma.
