Kenneth A. Inman Sr., 90 year old longtime Seminole resident passed from this life Wednesday, April 27, 2016 in Seminole, Oklahoma. He was born September 15, 1925 in Holdenville, Oklahoma to parents, R.G. Inman and Opal Edna (Venable) Inman. Kenneth attended Konawa Public Schools. He enlisted in the United States Navy while still in High School in 1942. While in the Navy he earned the Good Conduct Medal, the US Naval Reserve Honorable Discharge Ribbon, and Honorable Service Lapel Button Medal. Kenneth then returned to Konawa to finished High School graduating in 1947. Following his graduation from Konawa High School he went on to serve in the United States Army during WWII where he earned the National Defense Service Medal, the Korean Service Medal, the United Nations Service Medal, and the Army of Occupation Medal (Japan). Kenneth was Honorably Discharged in 1954. Kenneth went on to retire from the United States Military with the title of Chief Warrant Officer. Kenneth was a member of the American Legion, the Foreign Legion, he was also a 32nd Degree Mason. He also attended the Nazarene Church. On March 17, 2012 Kenneth married Penny Kay (LeFaver) Inman in Seminole, Oklahoma. Kenneth leaves to cherish his memory his wife Penny Inman of the home, two sons, Kenneth Inman Jr. and his wife Lee Ann of Norman, Oklahoma, Rick Olson and his wife Beverly of Choctaw, Oklahoma. Four daughters, Koye Durmick and her husband Bill of San Diego, California, Kristin Jahnke of Boise, Idaho, Glenda Olson of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and Teresa Olson of Choctaw, Oklahoma. Two brothers, Karroll Inman of Moore, Oklahoma, and Keith Inman and his wife Beverly of Choctaw, Oklahoma. One sister, Katherine Hurst of Houston, Texas. By his mother-in-law, Pat LaFaver of Seminole, Oklahoma. Three grandchildren, Kelly Inman of San Diego, California, Kevin Inman of San Diego, California, and Kacie Inman of Fort Worth, Texas. Kenneth is also survived by a host of other family and dear friends. Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents, R.G. and Opal Inman, by one daughter, Kerry Inman who died in 2011, by two brothers, Koy Inman and Kermit Inman who died in 2015. Funeral services are scheduled for 10:30 a.m., Saturday, April 30, 2016 at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel in Seminole, Oklahoma with Military Honors. Interment will follow at Holdenville Cemetery in Holdenville, Oklahoma. Rev. Carl Whitfield will be officiating the service.
