Longtime Seminole resident Kenneth “Ken” Taylor passed away on December 31, 2009 in Ada, Oklahoma at the age of 79. He was born on December 3, 1930 in Shawnee, Oklahoma to Major Taylor and Alma (Adams) Taylor. He married Francene (Crane) Taylor on May 17, 1952 and she preceded him in death on March 6, 2009. He worked for Wonder Bread for over 36 years in Seminole and Shawnee where he was a supervisor. He was a member of the Seminole Elks Lodge and he served in the United States Army in the medical corp. He was stationed in France during the Korean War. He was a graduate of Shawnee High School. Ken leaves to cherish his memories; one son and daughter-in-law, Ron and Donna Taylor of Antrim, New Hampshire; two daughters, Lea Ann Taylor of Ada, Oklahoma and Karen Everett of Fort Lauderdale, Florida; three brothers: Don Taylor of Kingston, Oklahoma, Harold Taylor of Kingston and Theron Taylor of Pecola, Oklahoma, six grandchildren, Jennifer & Jeremy Pippenger, Matt and Meghan Pippenger, Royce & Erica Pochinski, Kristen Taylor, Brandon Taylor and Taylor Everett; eight great-grandchildren, Shelby, Caitlynn, Logan, Maddox, Jaken, Aiden, Maverick and Zayne; and a baby boy Jaxen due in February 2010 he is also survived by a host of other family and dear friends.
