Longtime Seminole resident Ken Carlin Houck passed away on February 2, 2010 in Seminole, Oklahoma at the age of 69. He was born on August 15, 1940 to Clifford Clinton Houck and Drew Evelyn (Westerman) Houck. Ken worked for Sloan Drilling as a rig driller where he retired in the early 1980’s. He was a member of the Missionary Baptist Church and served in the Oklahoma National Guard. He married Lavonia June (Lemmings) Houck on March 30, 1983 and she survives him of the home, he is also survived by daughter, Alicia McClanahan and husband Raymond of Konawa, step-daughters: Cheryl Burns and husband Kelly of Bowlegs and Jana Gaulph and husband Jammy of Ohio, three sons; Kenny Houck of Bella Vista, Arkansas, Carl Houck of Kansas and Joseph Waterman, sister, Margaret Garner of Maud, Oklahoma. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren: Randy McClanahan, Nick and Brandon Burns, Kimberly, Bryan and Justin Gaulph, Kristen, Lauren and Bryan Houck, and Hollee Ryan. He is also survived by seven great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his mother and father, brother, Clifford Dewayne Houck and step-daughter Julia Deann Waterman. He was loved by many, many people. A visitation is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Saturday, February 6, 2010 at the Swearingen Funeral Home.
