Kathryn Holder

Kathryn (Kay) Fern Holder, age 73, of Meeker, Oklahoma passed away peacefully at home on May 29, 2016 surrounded by her family. Kathryn was born June 26, 1942 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Robert C. Whitaker and Mary Maxine (Ellis) Whitaker. Kathryn was married to Charlie Holder for 34 years, the father of her children. She later married Sammy Lee Holder on August 29, 1997 in Prague, Oklahoma. She is survived by her son, Carl (Buster) and Tina Holder, of Meeker, Oklahoma,  daughters; Debbie and Steven Wood, of Maud, Oklahoma, and Delena and Mark Blocker of Mustang, Oklahoma,  brother; Robert Wesley Whitaker of Luther, Oklahoma; seven grandchildren; Ronnie, Jerod, Kedron, Dal, Darren, Aubrey, Adriana and three great-grandchildren, Kynlee, Carter and Reagan. She dedicated her life to taking care of those she loved, and provided her family with unconditional love and support.  Her compassion for serving others was never more evident than when she provided full-time comfort and loving care to multiple terminally ill family members. She was a homemaker and a member of Meeker Living Waters PCG. She was preceded in death by Charlie Holder, husband of 34 years; Sam Holder, husband of 17 years; her mother, Mary Maxine Whitaker; her father, Robert Cornelius Whitaker; as well as, her sister, Sharon Marcine Power. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Thursday, June 2, 2016 at the Meeker Living Waters, PCG, west of Meeker, Oklahoma with Donna Morton officiating. Burial will follow at New Hope Cemetery in Meeker, Oklahoma. The family would like to give a special thanks to the caring staff of the Loving Care Hospice in Shawnee, Oklahoma.
