Longtime Seminole resident Kathryn Pauline Dixson Grisso passed away on Monday, October 25, 2010 in Guthrie, Oklahoma at the age of 84. She was born on April 2, 1926 in Crosses, Arkansas to Samuel and Eliza Walker Gabbard. Kathryn married Wiley Dixson on September 25, 1943 and he preceded her in death in 1971, she later married A.R. Grisso in 1980 and he preceded her in death. Kathryn was a member of the St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Guthrie, Oklahoma and was an avid member of the Red Hat Society. She was best known for her green thumb, beautiful singing voice, poetry and her Chrisitan beliefs. She leaves to cherish her memories her son and daughter-in-law, Dr. Jim Dixson and wife Pat of Edmond, Oklahoma; daughter and son-in-law, Deborah Hill and husband Dr. Terry Hill of Norman, Oklahoma; five grandchildren, John Dixson and wife Jeanine, Jeramy Hill, Joshua Hill, Megan Hill and Shari deBlonk and husband Kyle, two great grandchildren, Bradyn and Maren deBlonk. She is preceded in death by her parents, Eliza and Samuel Gabbard, two husbands, A.R. Grisso in 1980 and Wiley Dixson in 1974, seven brothers and two sisters. Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00 A.M., Friday, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 411 N.Elm, Guthrie,Oklahoma,with Rev. Robert T. Wood officiating. Interment will follow Sunset Memorial Park in Norman, Oklahoma. Pallbearers will be John Dixson, Jeramy Hill, Joshua Hill, Ed French, Albert Thompson, Joshua Hill and Jon Gumerson.
