Kathryn Sue (Bennett) Calvert

April 11, 1957 — September 20, 2022

Maud

Kathryn Sue Calvert, Maud resident, passed away on Tuesday, September 20, 2022 at her home, at the age of 65.  Kathryn was born on April 11, 1957 in Heidelberg, Germany to William Bennett Sr. and Ruvenia (Heffley) Vance.  She spent most of her life in Maud, OK with a short stint in Savannah, GA.

Kathryn enjoyed going to church at Maud First Baptist Church. She loved to crochet blankets and recording her shows so she didn’t have to watch commercials.  She was a mess.  She said what she felt.  She was honest to a fault (in her own mind).  Kathryn loved all of her kids and grandkids even though she was reserved in how she showed it.  She loved to help do crafts for vacation bible school.   She enjoyed her diet coke and her smocks.

Kathryn is survived by her two sons, Thomas Stephens and wife, Debbie and Travis Stephens and wife, Lisa; two daughters, Ruvenia Sebrant and husband, Thomas Harris and Kathleen Williams and husband, Garrett; three brothers, Danny Bennett, William Bennett II and wife, Mary and Alan Bennett and wife, Cindy; sister, Shirley Henderson and husband, Tony; 16 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild and one more on the way and many other family and friends.

Kathryn was preceded in death by her mother, Ruvenia Vance; father, William Bennett Sr.; brother, Charles Bennett and sister, Elain Brock.

A celebration of life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 1, 2022 at Maud First Baptist Church with Pastor Bobby Shatto officiating.

Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, Oklahoma.
