Kathleen Francis Nicholson, 72 Kathleen Francis Nicholson, former Seminole, Oklahoma resident passed away, Thursday, February 6, 2014 at Depew, Oklahoma. Kathleen was born September 21, 1941 in Seminole, Oklahoma to parents, Bert Drumright and Jewel Gertrude (Carriger) Drumright. Kathleen grew up playing around her dad’s Electrical Shop and after graduating from Seminole High School, she began working as a bookkeeper and clerk for him. Kathleen, at the age of 17, married the man of her dreams, Billy Gene Nicholson in Anadarko, Oklahoma on October 11, 1957. Billy passed away March 1, 2005. In 1968 Kathleen and her family moved to Okmulgee, Oklahoma where she worked for Key Rexall Drug, she felt her life was full and complete. She was a member of the Eastside Assembly of God Church in Okmulgee, Oklahoma. She retired in Okmulgee until the loss of her husband, Bill, she then moved to Sapulpa, Oklahoma to be with her children. Kathleen was a hard worker all her life, she kept books, clerked and was a full time wife and mother. She had an ear for music, and she loved to play the piano. She would play at home for her children and they inherited her talent for music. Kathleen was a Godly woman who loved the Lord all her life, always had a smile, laugh, and a joke. She was very bubbly. Kathleen had a strong love for animals from her pet rabbit to her “mystery animal”, she loved and kept them all safe; she was partial to kittens though. She was also very proud that she never had a flat tire. Kathleen is survived by three sons, Tim Nicholson of Depew, Oklahoma, Ricky Nicholson of Fayetteville, Arkansas and Mike Nicholson of Lee’s Summit, Missouri; one daughter, Tina Taylor of Sapulpa, Oklahoma; one brother, Dale Drumright of Seminole, Oklahoma and two sisters, Fern Cecil of Seminole, Oklahoma and Dixie Billings of Floresville, Texas. Kathleen is also survived by her grandchildren, Brad Nicholson, Paxton Nicholson, Riley Nicholson, Lindsey Friday, Colby Nicholson and Denver Nicholson. Kathleen was preceded in death by her parents, Bert and Jewel Drumright; husband, Billy Nicholson and one grandson, Daniel Nicholson. Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Friday, February 14, 2014 at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel with her grandson Brad Nicholson officiating. Casket bearers are: Larry Taylor, Tim Nicholson, Ricky Nicholson, Mike Nicholson, Dale Drumright, Monte Hallmark and John Nicholson.
