Karla Strozier

Karla "Sandy" Kosondra Strozier passed away Wednesday, March 11, 2009, at the age of 62, in St. George, Utah. She was born November 13, 1946 in Seminole, Oklahoma to Leonard F. and Jo Ann Edgell Cooper. rnrnSandy was raised in Seminole, where she attended elementary school and graduated from Seminole High School class of 1965. Shortly after graduation, she moved to Las Vegas, Nevada. There, she met James Marvin Strozier. They were married November 8, 1968, in Las Vegas. During this time, Jim was serving in the U.S. Air Force. After he was discharged in 1970, they moved their family to Shreveport, LA, where they have lived for the past 39 years. Sandy was an EMT for five years. rnrnSandy was an active member of the Church of Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She was a fun loving, very caring, and had a great sense of humor. She loved to visit with friends and family and she loved to go to Wal-Mart. Sandy was an excellent cook and enjoyed traveling. Sandy was a sweetheart who made sacrifices for her family and is loved dearly by them, her brothers and sister and especially her husband and children. She was an exceptional mother and a great daughter-in-law. She will be deeply missed. rnrnSurviving family include her husband, James "Jim" Marvin Strozier of Shreaveport, LA; two sons, James Marvin Strozier and Stephen Bryan Strozier (future daughter-in-law, Kelly) all of Shreveport, LA; brothers and sisters-in-law; Fredrick Mark and Wilma Cooper of Noble, Oklahoma and Kent and Susie Cooper of Las Vegas, NV; sisters and brothers-in-law; Lenella Jane and Nicholas Grifo of Las Vegas, NV and Margo and Jack Webber of Seminole, Oklahoma. She is preceded in death by her parents, and siblings, Joquita Cooper, Lisa Lea Cooper Thompson and Richard Cooper. rnrnFuneral services will be held Monday, March 16, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. at the Seminole Latter- Day Saints Ward Chapel, 2500 John Street, Seminole, Oklahoma. There will be a viewing held Monday, from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. prior to the services at the Chapel. Interment will take place in the Little Cemetery, Little, Oklahoma. rnrn Funeral Information: March 15, 2009, 1:00 AM
