Karen Wilson, age 49 and a former resident of Asher, Oklahoma, passed away on Friday, May 27, 2011 at Golden Rule Senior Care Center in Shawnee, Oklahoma. Graveside services are scheduled for 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 31, 2011 at Vista Cemetery, under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Konawa, Oklahoma. Rev. Dwayne Johnson will officiate. Pallbearers are Jesse Wilson, Jr., Henry Neeley, Billy Ranells, Michael Neeley, Tom Larman, Tim Larman, and Tommy Larman. Visitation will be 1:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 29th at Swearingen Funeral Home in Konawa. Karen was born on February 25, 1962, to Mildred (Persinger) and Silas Wilson in Asher, Oklahoma. Karen spent most of her life in Asher, and she loved music very much. She is survived by two brothers, Jesse Wilson of Stratford, Oklahoma, and Henry Wilson of Ada, Oklahoma; four sisters, Geraldine Sherfield of Midwest City, Oklahoma, Marietta Wilson of Shawnee, Oklahoma, Dorothy Nall and Mae Ranells, both of Asher, Oklahoma. She was preceded in death by her parents, Mildred and Silas Wilson; three brothers, J.O. Wilson, Frank Wilson, and Leroy Garcia; and four sisters, Lorene Green, Vivian Fisher, Bertha Rogers, and Eunice Ranells.
