Karen Lee (Cross) Warner

February 19, 1977 — May 24, 2014

Karen Lee (Cross) Warner, age 37 and a resident of Oklahoma City and a former resident of Maud, Oklahoma, passed away on Saturday, May 24, 2014 at St. Anthony Medical Center in Oklahoma City. A memorial service is scheduled for 1:00 p.m. Saturday, May 31, 2014 at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel in Konawa, Oklahoma.  Rev. Mitch Williams will officiate.  A register book is available for signing at the funeral home. Karen was born on February 19, 1977 in Caldwell, Kansas to Terry F. (Willhite) Cross and Jerry Cross.  She was a cheerleader for Maud Junior High School and Maud High School, and she was Graduation Valedictorian for Maud High School in 1994.  Karen received a scholarship to Southwestern College at Weatherford, Oklahoma and received an Associate Degree.  She received her private pilot license, and she was a Department Manager for Dillard’s Department Store in Shawnee, Oklahoma.  She was also doing volunteer work for the City Mission in Oklahoma City.  Karen was a very active person and was loved by everyone. She leaves behind to cherish her memories her mother, Terry F. Drainer of Konawa, Oklahoma; father, Jerry Cross of Tecumseh, Oklahoma; one son, Benjamin Lee Cross of Moore Oklahoma; one daughter, Trinity Lee Cross of Oklahoma City; and one sister, Deborah Needham of Mansfield, Texas.
