Karen Parsons

Karen “Gail” Parsons age 70 of Meeker, Oklahoma passed away in her home on May 18, 2014 after a short struggle with cancer. She was born February 19, 1944 to Bonnie Hathcock and Leon Pennington. Gail was preceded in death by her parents Bonnie  and Leon, and a very special step-dad who raised her, Pete Hathcock; one sister, Patsy Stubblefield. She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Gary Parsons of the home, three sons: Howard and wife JoBeth Parsons of Earlsboro, Oklahoma; Gary Parsons Jr of Shawnee, Oklahoma; Jimmie Parsons of Seminole, Oklahoma, two daughters: Beth and husband Randy Garton of Shawnee, Oklahoma; Darleeta and husband David Marchant of Meeker, Oklahoma; one sister, Terri and husband Herb Comeaux of Slidell, Louisiana; one sister-in-law Cheri and Richard Ward of Tecumseh, Oklahoma and one brother-in-law John Hannifan of Shawnee, Oklahoma. Eleven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends. Visitation will be from 6pm to 8pm Wednesday May 21st at Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, OK. Services will be held at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday, May 22, 2014 at 11:00 am. Services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home of Seminole, Oklahoma.
