Karen Elaine (Diamond) Thomas, 49 year-old, Maud, Oklahoma resident passed from this life September 30, 2009 at her home in Maud, Oklahoma. She was born July 11, 1960 in Orlando, Florida to parents Irving James Diamond and Ethel Arlene (Stroup) Diamond. Karen graduated from Butner High School in 1978 and continued her education at Seminole State College. She was of the Baptist faith. She was a homemaker and a loving devoted mother. Survivors include three sons, Cody, Josh and Dylan Thomas all of the home; one daughter, Autumn Thomas of the home; special friend, Robert Howes of Maud, Oklahoma; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Bob and Janice Diamond of Prosper, Texas, Kenneth and Sue Diamond of Harrah, Oklahoma and John and Linda Diamond of McKinney, Texas; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Julia and Alex Dee of Mustang, Oklahoma and Patty Tracy of Eufaula, Oklahoma; and a host of other family and friends. Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 a.m., Monday, October 5, 2009 at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel in Seminole, Oklahoma. Interment will follow at Little Cemetery located 8 miles north of Seminole on Hwy 99. Memorial donations can be made in memory of, Karen Diamond Thomas, to P.O. Box 550, Seminole, Oklahoma 74868.
