June Elaine (Nichols) Neal

June Elaine (Nichols) Neal, age 83 and a lifetime resident of Konawa, Oklahoma, passed away from this life at St. Anthony Hospital in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Funeral services are scheduled for 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 25, 2018 at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel in Konawa.  Rev. Pam Shirk and Rev. Steve Littrell will officiate, and burial will follow at Konawa Cemetery.  Casket bearers are Clifton Grove, Joe Morgan, Corey Grove, Treyton Grove, and Nicholas Grove. June was born June 6, 1935 in Konawa to Jesse Ray Nichols and Winnie Fred (Johnson) Nichols.  She graduated from Konawa High School, and she worked as a pattern maker for Michael’s Casuals for years.  June also worked for the Konawa school system, and she was a member for the First United Methodist Church of Konawa.  She loved watching the Konawa Tigers and spending time sewing. She is survived by two daughters, Roberta Brake and husband, Robert of Konawa and Elinda Antinoro and husband Don of Yukon, Oklahoma; one sister, Doris Bartgis and husband, Doyle of Oklahoma City; three grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jesse and Winnie Nichols; one son, Lewis Ray Neal, one brother, Richard Nichols; and one sister, Mary Finch.
