June Willoughby Bowman, 86, Seminole, Oklahoma resident died Saturday, August 11, 2018 in Seminole, Oklahoma. June was born on October 16, 1931 in Greenland, Arkansas to Charles Howard Willoughby and Eva Ferrell (Evans) Willoughby. June was a homemaker and stenographer. She attended Draughn’s School of Business in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She was a Cub Scout Troup # 207 leader, member of the Baptist Church and a ham radio operator with call number K5URF. She enjoyed gardening and especially loved pear trees, roses, gladiolas and honeysuckles. June married James B. Bowman on October 9, 1951 in Midwest City, Oklahoma and he preceded her in death on September 12, 1967. She is survived by two sons James B. Bowman, Jr. of Tennessee and John M. Bowman of North Carolina, one daughter Elizabeth Gallardo of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, eight grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one son and three brothers. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Friday August 17, 2018 at the Beth Haven Baptist Church at 12400 South Western Ave., in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, with Richard McIntosh and Bob Bowman officiating. Burial will follow at Sunnylane Cemetery at 4000 S.E. 29th Street in Del City, Oklahoma. Casket bearers will be Richard Gallardo, Sr., Richard Gallardo, Jr., Tyler Jackson, Thurlow Tripp, Leonard Alcon and Brian Hood. Honorary Bearers will be James Bowman Jr., John M. Bowman Sr., John Bowman, Jr., James Bowman III and Daniel Bowman. Funeral services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, Oklahoma.
