Julius David Veitenheimer, age 84, passed away January 30, 2020 at Shasta Regional Medical Center in Redding, California. A graveside service is scheduled for 11:00 a.m. Friday, February 14, 2020 at Sacred Heart Cemetery under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home of Konawa, Oklahoma. Fr. Adrian Vorderlandwehr, O.S.B. will officiate. Julius was born October 5, 1935 in Asher, Oklahoma to Joseph Veitenheimer and Thresa E. (Van Buren) Veitenheimer. After graduation, Julius worked as a bus driver for many years for Greyhound Bus Lines. He married Hazel Maudine Linam. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army in Company B of the 44th Infantry until 1955, and he was stationed at Ft. Hood, Texas. He was preceded in death by his wife, Hazel Veitenheimer and his parents, Joseph and Thresa Veitenheimer.
