Julia Margaret “Judy” Neel, lifelong Seminole resident passed away, Saturday, April 30, 2016, at Midwest City, Oklahoma, at the age of 76. Judy was born May 5, 1939, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, to parents, Joseph “Joe” Peschl and Christine Nichols. She attended John Marshall High School and Wright Business School of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Judy married Earl Neel in Oklahoma City, October 26, 1958. Judy was employed at Robertson’s Ham and J. C. Penney’s. She loved traveling, spending time with her family, watching Jeopardy, and shopping for others. She was an avid collector and a member of Twin Oak Baptist Church of Seminole, Oklahoma and Epsilon Sigma Alpha Sorority in Seminole. Judy is survived by one son, Richard Neel and LaDonna of Seminole, Oklahoma; two daughters, Diane Neel and Theresa Neel, both of Seminole, Oklahoma; one brother, Don Felker of Fort McCoy, Florida; three sisters, Minna Lu Krumland and Bill of Omaha, Nebraska, Debbie Seale and Gary of Tecumseh, Oklahoma; Karen Brooks and John of Nixa, Missouri; three grandchildren, Ashley Neel, Kirsten Stevenson and husband, Matthew, and Matthew Neel and several nieces and nephews. She is also survived by special friends, Vera Rammage and Joyce Williams; special daughter, Connie Robbins; special grandchildren, Levi Brown and Paige Brown. Judy was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Neel; parents, Joseph Peschl and Christine Nichols; one brother, Gary Peschl; one sister, Joella Riddle and her husband Henry Riddle, and sister-in-law, Juanita Cumpton and her husband Paul Cumpton. Funeral service will be at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 4, 2016, at Swearingen Funeral Home of Seminole with Rev. Will Macsas officiating. Burial will take place at Little Cemetery, Seminole County, Oklahoma. Serving as casket bearers are: Steve Quinalty, Larry Roper, Mark Moody, David Brown, Victor Wright, Joshua Peschl and Lee Pearson. Honorary casket bearers are the men of Twin Oak Baptist Church.
