Seminole resident, Judy Carter, passed away, Thursday, February 13, 2025, in Seminole, at the age of 86.
Judy, the daughter of Mark and Marjorie (Thomas) Carter, was born November 24, 1938, in Wewoka. She grew up in Wewoka and attended New Lima High School. Judy enjoyed shopping and going to the beauty shop to get her hair done. She worked at Valley Hope in Cushing for many years. She dedicated a lot of her life to helping others to find their way through life by starting anew. She will be dearly missed.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Billie Jane Parum; son, Ronald Reed Parum; brother, Jim Carter; and her parents, Marjorie and Mark Carter.
Judy is survived by her daughter, Julie Parum, of Seminole; grandchildren, Tonya Friend, Kristal Curlee , and Michael Cates; great grandchildren Ashtun Friend, Renee Friend, Jaylee Friend, Stony McCoy, Drake McCoy, and Rowdy McCoy; one great great grandchild, Abel Friend, all of Seminole; brother and sister-in-law, Chris Carter and Deneen, of Seminole; sisters and brothers-in-law, Barbara O’Reilly and Greg, of Tulsa, and Angela Lindsey and Harold, of Shawnee; and many other family members and friends.
Cremation services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole.
