Juanita Reynolds passed away peacefully in her home on Friday evening, January 15, 2009.rnrnJuanita Ruth Kinnamon was born on August 1, 1929 to Walter and Gertrude Kinnamon in Seminole, Oklahoma. Juanita attended Seminole Schools, graduating in 1947. She began studying piano at age five and continued until college, majoring in piano performance at Oklahoma Baptist University. During her time at OBU, she began courting Jack Reynolds, and they were married on June 3, 1949. rnrnJack and Juanita?s early years together were filled with adventures living in numerous places due to Jack?s career in the oilfield. All of their three children were born in different states. Wherever they lived Juanita would set up housekeeping, find a church home and make many new friends. rnrnIn 1964, Juanita and her family moved back to Oklahoma where they began a new business adventure on Lake Tenkiller at the Standing Rock Motel and Store. The family enjoyed running this business and living on the lake. During this time Juanita earned her bachelor?s degree in Elementary Education.rnrnIn 1970, Juanita and Jack moved back to their hometown of Seminole, Oklahoma where Juanita began her career as a first grade teacher at Roosevelt and Wilson Schools. She loved teaching children how to read, and developed lasting friendships with her colleagues. Always striving to be a better teacher, she earned her master?s degree from Central State University in 1980.rnrnJuanita was an active and committed member of the First Baptist Church. She taught the Fifth Grade Sunday School, frequently played the piano for various meetings and functions, was a member of the bell choir and helped organize many funeral dinners. The Church will miss her greatly. rnrnJuanita loved spending time with her family and showed enthusiastic pride in her grandchildren. Wonderful holiday dinners were her specialty. She enjoyed her ladies bridge group and the fellowship of her many friends.rnrnJuanita was preceded in death by her parents, her siblings and her son, Stephen Reynolds.rnrnShe is survived by her loving husband of 59 years, Jack; her daughter, Holly Frazier and husband Keith; son, Mark Reynolds; daughter-in-law Sherry Reynolds; grandchildren, Andrew Reynolds, Kimberly Reynolds, Sommer Frazier, Mackenzie Frazier, and Carly Frazier. She is also survived by her niece, Naomi Mastro Giovanni and family.rnrnMemorials in her name can be sent to the First Baptist Church Building Fund, P.O. Box 310, Seminole, Oklahoma 74818.rnrnThe memorial service will be held at the First Baptist Church of Seminole at 2:00 P.M. Monday the 19th of Janurary 2009. With Dr. Tommy Clark officiating.
