Seminole resident Juanita Raffety passed away on January 11, 2010 in Seminole at the age of 86 after a long illness. She was born on January 9, 1924 in Hobart, Oklahoma to Robert Badger and Lottie Mae (Holt). She graduated from Varnum Middle School in 1938 and went on to Seminole High School where she graduated in 1942. She moved to California in 1947 and then moved back to Seminole in 1971. She was a secretary at a School District in California. She was a member of the Women’s Auxiliary Seminole Post # 204. from 1975 to 1980. She leaves to cherish her memories three sons; Dennis of Arizona, Jerry of the home, Mark of California, one sister, Bonnie Snyder of California along with numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was married to Cleo Raffety on Sept. 22, 1943 in Orlando, Fl. and he preceded her in death on March 6, 1994 they were married for 50 years. She is also preceded in death by her parents Robert and Lottie Badger, one sister, Leta Bishop and brother, Robert Badger, Jr. Mom you were the best, we’ll be seeing you soon. Graveside services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Thursday, January 14, 2009 at Maple Grove Cemetery with Larry Norris officiating.
