Juanita Murl Harris

Juanita Murl Harris, 86, passed away at her home in Seminole on Tuesday, May 28, 2013 She was born November 28, 1926, in Holdenville, Oklahoma to Sam and Della (Johnson) Beavers. She graduated from New Lima High School in 1944, and married Harold Harris that same year. She was employed as a receptionist for Drs. Harrison and Parrish at the Parrish Clinic in Seminole for many years, and later worked in electronics at Tinker Air Force Base. In 1967, she and Harold moved to Wyoming where they lived for 25 years before returning to Seminole. Juanita was an avid golfer and an excellent quilter. She loved her family, playing the piano, and genealogy. She is survived by her husband, Harold Harris, of the home; her daughter Natalie Baker of Seminole, Oklahoma; grandchildren Jarrod Baker of Shawnee, Oklahoma and Sharon Racine and her husband Dana of Massachusetts; two twin great-grandchildren, Genevieve and Issac Racine, also of Massachusetts. She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, Zelma W. Beavers and Geneva Beavers, and a son-in-law John Baker. Funeral services will be held at the First Baptist Church in Seminole on Friday, May 31, 2013 at 10:30 A.M. with Rev. Marvin Kehl officiating. Burial will follow at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens in Seminole, Oklahoma. Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, Oklahoma is in charge of arrangements.
