Juanita Jewel Hair

“Juanita” Jewel (Grissom) Hair, 71 year old Seminole resident passed from this life on Friday, October 24, 2014 in Wewoka, Oklahoma.  She was born February 20, 1943 in Tuscumbia, Alabama to parents, Pearl (Hale) Grissom and Joe Grissom. Juanita was a lifelong Seminole County resident who worked for Wewoka Public School Cafeteria for several years in the 1980’s and 1990’s.  She later worked as a nurse’s aid for ONHL care center in Wewoka until her retirement. Juanita married Richard Hair on June 17, 1960 in Wewoka, Oklahoma.  He preceded her in death in 2006. Survivors include one son, Richard “Ricky” Hair, Jr. and his wife Andi of Wewoka, Oklahoma, two daughters, Jennifer Conn of Seminole, Oklahoma and Trina Dutton of Checotah, Oklahoma, a son-in-law, Anthony Johnson of Seminole, Oklahoma.  She is also survived by one brother, Bob Grissom of Branson, Missouri, eight grandchildren, Stephanie Johnson, Dustin Hair and his wife Carlie, Derek Johnson, Jeremy Johnson and his wife Brittanie, Caleb Conn, Marissa Hair, Case Conn, Cade Conn, five great grandchildren, Makala Johnson, Tyson Johnson, Bryce Hair, Jadin Johnson, Jailee Johnson and a host of other family and dear friends including her special companion, Kenneth Smith of Seminole, Oklahoma. Juanita is preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Richard Hair, by her mother, Pearl (Hale) Grissom, by her father, Joe Grissom.  She is also preceded in death by six brothers, Walter, Pete, Bill, David, Howell and Powell Grissom and by two sisters, Peggy LaFever and Jean Grissom and by one great grandson, Kaden Johnson. Memorial services are scheduled for 11:30 a.m., Wednesday, October 29, 2014 at Blessed Rock Church in Wewoka, Oklahoma with Sam Ketcher officiating the service.
