Juanima Faye (Rhodd) Forbis, age seventy and a long-time resident of Konawa, passed away on March 12, 2011 at Mercy Hospital in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. A wake service is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 15th at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel in Konawa. Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, March 16th at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Konawa. Fr. Adrian Vorderlandwehr, O.S. B. will officiate. Burial will follow at Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery. Pallbearers are Keith Forbis, Daniel Forbis, Cory Cahoon, Colby Cahoon, Chris Mills, and Dale Forbis. Honorary Pallbearers are Bailey Forbis, Neal Forbis, Brice Forbis, Devon Cody, Buck Coverdale, and Robert Peck. Juanima was born on April 21, 1940, in Maud, Oklahoma to George W. Rhodd and Mary (Cullin) Rhodd. She married Ivy E. “Ed” Forbis on March 29, 1964 in Maud, Oklahoma. She loved her grandchildren very much. She was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church. She is survived by two sons, George E. Forbis of Picher, Oklahoma. and Kenny Forbis of Konawa, Oklahoma; two daughters, Dianna Cahoon of Konawa, Oklahoma, and Happy Mills of Pomona, Kansas; three step-children, Sandy Coverdale of Moundville, Missouri, Vickie Cody of Coweta, Oklahoma, and Dickie Forbis of Ketchum, Oklahoma; twelve grandchildren, and six great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Mary Rhodd; her husband, Ivy E. “Ed” Forbis; and one step-grandson, Jackie Coverdale.
