Joyce Ann (Wise) Williams

Joyce Ann (Wise) Williams, 57 year old lifelong Seminole County, Oklahoma resident passed from this life Thursday, May 4, 2017 surrounded by her loving family.  She was born June 4, 1959 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to parents Keley Wise and Mennie Jean (Noon) Wise. Joyce worked as a certified nurse’s-aid at Sunset Estates Care Center in Maud, Oklahoma and later at Pioneer Nursing Center in Seminole, Oklahoma. Joyce was a member of Rock Springs Baptist Church and was a member of the Seminole Nation of Oklahoma the Tallahassee Band. On December 18, 1981 Joyce married Bennie Williams in Sasakwa, Oklahoma. Survivors include her husband of 36 years, Bennie Williams Sr.; two sons, Sandy Williams and his wife Soulowla Williams of Tahlequah, Oklahoma, Bennie Williams Jr. and his wife Colby Williams of Cabot, Arkansas; one daughter, Vonda Tanyan and Jacob Tanyan of Earlsboro, Oklahoma; four brothers, Eric Wise and his wife Nova Wise of Okemah, Oklahoma, Kaylon Wise and his wife Jenni Wise of Mannford, Oklahoma, Duke Wise of Sacramento, California, Jeremiah Wise of Tulsa, Oklahoma; four sisters, Ruth McGlory and her husband Mike McGlory of Topeka, Kansas, Cindy Griffith and her husband James Griffith of Marion, Kansas, Evangeline Wise of Dallas, Texas, Kathylon Wise of Tulsa, Oklahoma; 10 grandchildren, Haley Yellowfish, Matthew Williams, Andre Williams, Christian Tanyan, Anna Williams, Jesse Williams, Jordan Williams, Chase Tanyan, Desiree Williams, Eli Williams; and a host of other family and dear friends. Joyce was preceded in death by her parents, Mennie and Keley Wise; by one sister, Bessie Wise; by two brothers, Keley Wise Jr. and Steven Wise; and by an infant son. Memorial services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Monday, May 8, 2017 at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel in Seminole, Oklahoma with Billy Coon officiating the service.
