Joyce (Grooms) Stackhouse Brann, 83, Tecumseh, Oklahoma resident, died Friday, July 31, 2015, at  her home. Joyce was born August 18, 1931 in Gilmer, Texas to Stephen Lonzo and Cora Elizabeth (Pittman) Grooms. Joyce lived in Maud, Oklahoma for over 40 years and was a cook at Maud Public Schools for 20 years. Joyce was a member of the Cross Timbers Church in Konawa, Oklahoma. She loved her church, being with her family, gardening, crocheting, embroidery, cooking, being around people, camping, traveling with her sisters and just enjoyed life. She is survived by her husband Donald Robert Brann of the home. They were married on September 1, 2000 in Maud, Oklahoma; three sons Eddie Stackhouse and wife Casey and Ronnie Stackhouse both of Maud, Oklahoma and Joe Stackhouse of Seminole, Oklahoma, five daughters Vicki  Anderson of Maud, Oklahoma, Rebecca Eldridge and her husband Willard of Tazwell, Tennessee,  Candy Stackhouse of Maud, Oklahoma, Debra Bickford of Key West, Florida and Darlene Heald of Portland, Maine; five sisters, Louise Kelly of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Bobbie Woods of Maud, Oklahoma, Virginia McClaskey of Maud, Oklahoma, Glenda Bowers of Maud, Oklahoma and Jeanie Rowley of Ardmore, Oklahoma, 24 grandchildren and 29 great grandchildren and 10 great- great grandchildren, and sixty special nieces and nephews, many wonderful friends and loved ones She was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband Clyde Earl Stackhouse, they were married on November 16, 1946 and he preceded her in death on December 14, 1993; son Donald Stackhouse, three brothers Jack Grooms, Joe Grooms and George (Creepy) Grooms, two sisters Beatrice Smiley and Francis McCarty and one grandchild Tracy Stackhouse. Funeral services will be at 11:00 A.M., Wednesday, August 5, 2015 at the First Baptist Church in Maud, Oklahoma with Ed Bray officiating. Burial will follow at Cummings Cemetery west of Maud. Visitation will be at the Knight-Swearingen Funeral Home in Maud, Oklahoma until Wednesday morning. Casket bearers will be her grandsons Paul Eldridge, Ronald Dean Stackhouse, Josh Eldridge, Colton Grove, Jake Eldridge and David Anderson. Funeral services are under the direction of Knight-Swearingen Funeral Home in Maud, Oklahoma. Funeral Information: August 5, 2015, 11:00 AM Visitation will be at the Knight-Swearingen Funeral Home in Maud, Oklahoma and Funeral Services will be at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, August 5, 2015 at the First Baptist Church in Maud located at west of town, Maud, OK 74854
