Joyce Ann (Smith) McMillan , age 70 and a long-time resident of Konawa, Oklahoma, passed away Thursday morning at Mercy Hospital in Ada, Oklahoma.
A memorial service is scheduled for 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 11, 2020 at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel in Konawa. Rev. Mitch Williams will officiate.
Joyce was born in Chickasha, Oklahoma on August 31, 1949 to William Howard Smith and Mildred Lorraine (Duncan) Smith. She and her parents moved from Cement, Oklahoma to Asher, Oklahoma in a wagon. Joyce graduated from Asher High School, and later, she married James Daniel McMillan. Joyce loved barrel racing and cow penning. Most of all, she loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She is survived by three sons, Veral Anthony “Tony” Pack of Sanger, Texas, Jerry Don Pack and wife, Pam of Konawa, and Christopher David Pack and wife, Scarlet of Konawa; three brothers, Lewis “Anthony” Smith and wife, Phyllis of Stratford, Oklahoma, William “Boyd” Smith of Macomb, Oklahoma, and Gary Wayne Smith of Asher, Oklahoma; three sisters, Patricia Covey of Konawa, Bonnie Lee Grant and husband, Gary of Cromwell, and Christina Lancaster of Ada; four grandchildren, William Joseph Pack, Terry Don Pack, Jonny Pack, and Amanda Pack; and numerous great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.
