Joyce Kean

Joyce Kean, 58 year-old, former Seminole County resident passed from this life Monday, March 22, 2010 in Ft. Smith, Arkansas.  She was born April 15, 1951 in Seminole, Oklahoma to parents Cecil James Driskill and Ethel (Moody) Driskill. Joyce graduated from Varnum High School in 1968.  She later married Jerry Ray Kean on April 29, 1971 in Seminole.  She was also a member of Missionary Baptist Church in Seminole. Survivors include her husband of almost 39 years, Jerry Ray Kean of the home; one son and daughter-in-law, Justin Wade Kean and his wife Retta of Weleetka, Oklahoma; one daughter and son-in-law, Christina Renee Blair and her husband John Walter Blair of Muldrow, Oklahoma; one brother Cecil James Driskill of Shawnee, Oklahoma; six sisters, Edna, Velma of OKC, Virgie of Norman, Clemmie of Midland, TX, Mary of Austin, TX and Juanita of New Orleans, LA; four grandchildren and a host of other family and dear friends. Joyce is preceded in death by her parents. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Friday, March 26, 2010 at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel in Seminole.  Interment will follow at Little Cemetery with Donnie LeForce officiating. Services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, Oklahoma.
