Longtime Seminole resident Wanda “Joy” Johnson entered into eternal life on November 9, 2010 at the age of 71. She was born a twin on December 29, 1938 in Tahoka, Texas to Joe Bailey and Lillian Jones. Joy attended Lubbock High School. She married Londo Johnson on May 5, 1970 in Lubbock, Texas. They together operated Chief’s Burger Bin before moving to Seminole, Oklahoma in 1973. Joy Worked for the First United Methodist daycare center until 1978 when she and her husband began caring for many foster children over 20 years. Joy later became a home health provider until her retirement. Joy loved to cook and enjoyed spending time with her grandsons who were the light of her life. Joy is survived by her daughter, Armanda Cravens and husband Chauncey Cravens of Wewoka, Oklahoma; one son, Albert Johnson of Wewoka, Oklahoma; three grandsons, Bryton Cravens, Damon Cravens, and Jayce Cravens all of Wewoka, Oklahoma; two sisters, Bobbie Ellison of Lubbock, Texas and JoDean Williams of Aurora, Colorado; a host of other family including, Damon Bearden, Brian Bearden and Lisa Harris of Texas and a number of dear friends. She was preceded in death by her, husband Londo Johnson on March 23, 2003; her parents Joe Bailey and Lillian Jones and her twin sister Ruby Foy Nelson in February 2010.
