Joy Dye

Joy Dye, Seminole, OK resident, passed away on Friday, July 5, 2024 in Shawnee surrounded by family, at the age of 81. Joy was born on March 21, 1943 in Henryetta, OK to Johnny and Pearlie (Null) Satawake. Joy married Bobby Gene Dye on November 2, 1959 in Seminole, OK. 

Joy is survived by her husband, Bobby Gene Dye of Seminole, OK; two sons, Terry Dye and wife, Debbie of Shawnee, OK and Stephen Dye and wife, Dana of Oklahoma City, OK; three daughters, Teresa Oldham and husband, Donnie of Shawnee, OK, Tammy Jordan and husband, Dale of Shawnee, OK and Bobbi Jackson and husband, Jeff of Shawnee, OK; brother, Jimmie Satawake and wife, Dessie of Henryetta, OK; seven grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren and many other family and friends.

Joy was preceded in death by her father, John Satawake; mother, Pearl Gamble; brothers, John Wayne Satawake, Jack Satawake, Bobby Joe Satawake; sisters, Bonnie Green, Betty Rogers and Linda Crackel.

Viewing will be Monday, July 8, 2024 from 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, OK.

Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, July 9, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. at Little Cemetery with Bro. Tony Breeding officiating.
