JoWanna Morris

JoWanna Morris, longtime Seminole County resident, passed away on May 30, 2018 in Seminole, Oklahoma. She was born on June 11, 1957 in Okemah, Oklahoma to parents Joe Bill Morris and Mary LaJuana Griffin. JoWanna was a resident of Oakridge Home in Wewoka, Oklahoma for 30 years, but had most recently moved to Pioneer Nursing Home in Seminole. She loved listening to Elvis Presley music, Christian music and dancing. She never forgot anyone’s name and loved her family and friends. JoWanna leaves to cherish her memory three sisters; Janice Brumley of Seminole, Oklahoma, Connie Cheatham and her husband Danny of Bixby, Oklahoma and Terry Perry of Shawnee, Oklahoma; her uncle Marvin Griffin and his wife Darlene of Seminole, Oklahoma ; her aunt Anita Williamson and many cousins. A viewing for JoWanna’s family and friends will be held on Monday, June 4, 2018 from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole.
