Joshua Adam Hamilton, 28, Tahlequah, Oklahoma resident, died Wednesday, April 3, 2019 in Danville, Pennsylvania. Joshua was born February 4, 1991 in Muskogee, Oklahoma to Johnnie Bruce Hamilton and Debra Ann Ross. Joshua attended grade school at Bowlegs Public Schools and at the age of 12 moved to Tahlequah, Oklahoma. Joshua was a professional truck driver and worked for Z.J.D. Trucking of Michigan. He started working for David Stanley Dodge in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and after working on trucks for several years he started driving them and never got enough of the open road. Joshua had also worked at Sparks Trucking and Burrows Construction. Joshua loved to work on trucks and drive them. He loved to spend time around a campfire at night with his friends and loved to go swimming at night in the nearby lakes. Joshua is survived by his mother; Debra Ross of Seminole, Oklahoma , his sister; Amanda Hamilton of Seminole, Oklahoma, his grandparents; Pat Hale and JR Hale, of Seminole, Oklahoma and Dorothy Hamilton of Tahlequah, Oklahoma, his aunt; Elizabeth Hamilton of Tahlequah, Oklahoma, his cousins; Ephraim Hamilton and Hanna Batts of Tahlequah, Oklahoma and his nieces and nephews that were the light of his life. Joshua was preceded in death by his father Bruce Hamilton and his grandfather Bill Hamilton, and his uncle Steavan Hamilton. Memorial services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Saturday, April 27, 2019 at the Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel in Seminole, Oklahoma, with Rev. Carl Whitfield officiating.
