“Jo” Josephine (Perry) Bridgeman, age 84 and a long-time resident of Konawa, Oklahoma, passed away on Monday, August 30, 2010 at Jan Frances Care Center in Ada, Oklahoma. Graveside services are scheduled for 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, September 2nd at Dora Cemetery under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Konawa. Rev. Steve Lowrance, Pastor of the Assembly of God Church in Konawa will officiate, and Rev. Lewis Perry will assist. Jo was born on April 22, 1926, in Ringling, Oklahoma to Ethel (Alred) and Bradford Perry. She married “Bill” William K. Bridgeman on May 5, 1944, in San Diego, California. She worked as an LPN for many years, and she loved to crochet and to watch videos of the “Gaither” Gospel Singing Group. She spent the last couple of years of her life at the Jan Frances Care Center in Ada so that she could be with her husband, Bill, who passed away on February 18, 2010. She is survived by one son, William Riley Bridgeman of Konawa; three daughters, Mary Jo Walker of Konawa, Jane Brewer of Topeka, Kansas, and Susan Garner of North Little Rock, Arkansas; three brothers, Ray Perry of Ponca City, Oklahoma, Curtis Perry of Ponca City, and Lewis Perry of Stratford, Oklahoma; one sister, Mary Lou Parsons of Stratford, Oklahoma; fourteen grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren and numerous great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ethel and Bradford Perry; her husband, Bill Bridgeman; one son, Gary Bridgeman; two brothers, Harold and Seby Perry; and one sister, Margie Woods.
