Joseph Davis

Maud resident, Joseph Davis, passed away Wednesday, January 22, 2025, in Edmond, at the age of 44. 

Joseph, the son of Herschel and Linda (Simmers) Davis, was born October 29, 1980, in Shawnee. He graduated from Maud High School, with the class of 1999. On December 23, 2013, he married Jessica Severson, in Shawnee. He enjoyed shooting guns, watching movies and listening to music, and watching professional wrestling. Joseph was very quick witted, he loved joking with and pranking people, and he has devoted many years to his passion, powerlifting. 

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Joseph and Rosie Simmer, and Johnson and Sara Davis; and by his mother-in-law, Julie Severson. 

Joseph is survived by his wife, Jessica Davis, of the home; his parents, Herschel and Linda Davis; and his sister, Chastity Nicole Davis, of Seminole; and his “brother” Timothy Wolfe. 

Pall bearers will be Justin Swarb, Tony Berryhill, James Turnbow, Rober5t Gentry, Cody Williams, and Bryant Ackerman. Honorary pall bearers are Bob Severson and Chad Pope. 

A wake is scheduled for Monday, January 27, 2025, from 5:00 P.M. ~ 7:00 P.M., at Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole. 

Services will be Tuesday, January 28, 2025, at 1:00 P.M., at Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, with interment to follow at Williams Family Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole.
