“Jose Torres” Jose Guadalupe Torres Saldaá��a Jr., 66 year old Seminole, Oklahoma resident, passed from this life on Christmas day, Tuesday, December 25, 2018 at his home in Seminole County, Oklahoma.  He was born April 24, 1952 in Sta Ma Del Rio, Mexico to parents Jose Torres and Bernardina Saldaá��a. Jose with the encouragement of his father started working at the age of 5 years old in Mexico.  He most recently had been working for Bar-S foods a Sigma Company (food packaging) in Seminole.  He worked as a forklift operator and as a diesel truck driver. Jose married Shirley Alexander on May 7, 2016 in New Lima, Oklahoma. Survivors include two sons, Hershel Mitchell Jr. of Okemah, Oklahoma, Kevin Mitchell of Konawa, Oklahoma; four daughters, Titania White and her husband Amari of Seminole, Oklahoma, Stacy Jackson and her husband Ray of New Lima, Oklahoma, Tracy Mitchell of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Etta Ladd and her husband Mac of Seminole, Oklahoma; four brothers, Angel Torres, Antioco Torres, Adrian Torres, Jose Rosario Torres; two sisters, Josephina Moreno, Sofia Vazquez; 28 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; and a host of other family and friends. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Thursday, January 3, 2018 at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel located at 1001 North Milt Phillips Ave. in Seminole, Oklahoma.  Interment will follow at Vamoosa Cemetery located south of Seminole on Hwy 99. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 2, 2018 at Swearingen Funeral Home. Services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, Oklahoma.
