Jonathan Wade Bateman, 38, passed from this life on Saturday, April 14, 2018 at his home in Shawnee, Oklahoma.  He was born June 3, 1979 in Phoenix, Arizona to parents John Michael Bateman and Sharon Kay (Reed) Gates. Wade worked as a car sales man and he also detailed autos. He attended Life Church of Shawnee, Oklahoma.  He loved to be with his family and he also loved to garden. Wade loved to be around family. He loved his niece and nephews more than anything in this world. Wade had a contagious smile and a big heart. He enjoyed gardening, cooking, walking on his treadmill, fishing, getting tattoos, shopping and making people laugh. He was a foodie that enjoyed different cuisines. Wade lived a hard life for a long time but he found the lord again and was baptized again last spring. He was so proud of the life he was leading from that day on. He was a strong, dedicated, vivacious, infectious, artistic, funny, loving, ornery, determined brother, son, uncle, cousin and friend. He loved everyone around him with his whole heart. Graveside services are scheduled for 10:00 a.m., Friday, April 20, 2018 at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens in Seminole, Oklahoma with Tyler Holt of Life Church in Shawnee, Oklahoma officiating. Survivors include his father, John Bateman, Sister Cassie Flora and her husband Cody, Brother Jason Bateman, Niece Caryse Bateman, Nephews Cameron and Cayden Flora. Services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, Oklahoma.
