Jon Michael Stone

Jon Michael Stone, 75, longtime Seminole resident, died Thursday March 16, 2017 in Seminole, Oklahoma. Jon was born January 14, 1942 in Shawnee, Oklahoma to Ralph Stone and Mildred “Hanna” (Williams) Stone. Jon grew up in California, but spent most of his life in Seminole, Oklahoma. Jon was a self-employed oilfield pumper and consultant. He enjoyed trout fishing, watching OU football, Dallas Cowboys, Oklahoma City Thunder basketball, deep sea fishing, flying, tennis, golf and baseball and football in his younger years. He was an all-state quarterback in California; he was an amazing athlete.  Jon served his country in the United States Air Force and was stationed in Japan during his enlistment. He attained the rank of Airman first Class. Jon loved his children and grandchildren and great grandchildren. Jon is survived by his wife Deborah A. Stone of Seminole, Oklahoma, one son Brian Weems of Ada, Oklahoma, four daughters Traci Stone, Tami Lake , Sheli Reynolds all of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and Brandie Tarron of Ada, Oklahoma, seven grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Jon was preceded in death by his parents. Memorial services will be 3:00 P.M., Thursday, March 23, 2017 at the Harvey Road Baptist Church in Seminole, Oklahoma @ 1620 N. Harvey Road, Seminole.  Russell Vicars will officiate at the service.
