Johnson Mildred

Mildred Johnson Longtime Seminole resident Mildred Johnson passed away on May 28, 2010 in Seminole at the age of 91. She was born on September 26, 1918 to Elbert and Zora Bell (Beard) Hedges in Lowell, Arkansas.  She married Charles Leonard Johnson on June 30, 1939 in Earlsboro, Oklahoma. Mildred worked as a sales clerk for Newton Walls in Seminole for 40 years, she also sold Avon. She leaves to cherish her memories her son and daughter-in-law: Charles and Debbie Johnson of Earlsboro, Oklahoma, daughter-in-law: Pat Johnson, Tulsa, Oklahoma, brother, Bentley Hedges, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and sister Betty Courtney of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.  She is also survived by seven grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. She is preceded in death parents, her husband, Charles Leonard Johnson on December 11, 2002, two sons; Jerry Johnson in 1995 and Larry Gene Johnson on February 21, 2010 and a brother Harry Hedges. Funeral services are scheduled for 10:30 A.M., Tuesday, June 1, 2010 at the Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel with Eugene Johnson officiating.  Interment will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery, Seminole, Oklahoma.
