Johnny Ray Wheeler age 63 and a resident of Seminole, Oklahoma, passed away Wednesday, October 03, 2018 at Alliance Health Hospital in Midwest City, Oklahoma. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Saturday, October 6, 2018 at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel in Konawa, Oklahoma. Rev. Ed Bray, Pastor of Cross Timbers Church of Konawa will officiate, and burial will follow at Vamoosa Cemetery. Casket bearers are Scottie Agent, Tim West, Phillip Wheeler, Darrell Jones, Keith Hanes, Johnny Shawnee, Donavan Castleberry, and Hunter Wheeler. Johnny was born June 21, 1955 in Talihina, Oklahoma to A.C. Wheeler and Betty Lou (Culley) Wheeler. He graduated from Konawa High School and became the Chief of Police for Konawa. He spent approximately twenty years as an officer for Konawa and Wewoka. He married Judy May Works on February 3, 2012 at Springs of Life in Shawnee, Oklahoma. Johnny loved OU football, playing on the computer, and watching wrestling. He is survived by his wife, Judy Wheeler of Seminole; his mother, Betty Lou Wheeler of Seminole; three sons, Scottie Agent of Moore, Oklahoma, Phillip Wheeler of Ada, Oklahoma, and Allan Wheeler also of Ada; one step-son, Alan Reynolds of Colorado; one daughter, Sherohna Wheeler of Ada, Oklahoma; one step-daughter, Sara Hames of Konawa; four brothers, Jackie Wheeler of Oklahoma City, Elmer Wheeler of Ada, Sam Wheeler of Konawa, and William Wheeler also of Konawa; three sisters, Patricia Jolly of Ponca City, Oklahoma, Barbara Wheeler of Konawa, and Anna West of Pauls Valley, Oklahoma; eight grandchildren; and two great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his second wife, Debra Wheeler; his father, A.C. Wheeler, and two sisters, Judy Hilton, and Rebecca Castleberry Shawnee.
