Johnny M. Pearson a life long Seminole county resident passed away Friday, May 18, 2018 at his home in Seminole county at the age of 74. Johnny was born September 10, 1943 in Seminole, Oklahoma to parents, Mryl and Dorothy Pearson. Johnny joined the Air Force after high school and served during the Vietnam War. While in the Air Force he repaired damaged runways. When finished with the repairs he would paint on the end of each runway “Go Touch The Hand Of God”. Johnny always wondered if anyone ever read his writing. While in a V A waiting room one day, he and another veteran began a conversation and this man told him about reading “Go Touch The Hand Of God” and he wondered who wrote it. Johnny, said "You are looking at him". He was so proud that his statement touched the lives of fellow veterans. After fulfilling his military service, Johnny was a cross country truck driver for Exeter Drilling Company and he also drove for Hayes Axle. Johnny loved fishing, painting, gardening, and was a landscape artist. Johnny was a very giving person who would help anyone who was in need. Johnny married Brenda (Pruitt) Pearson, July 3, 1987 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Johnny is survived by his wife Brenda; two daughters, Jamsey Lynn Miller and her husband Reece of Ada, Oklahoma, Norma Wolfenbarger of Ada, Oklahoma; ten grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. Memorial services with military honors will be held 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 5, 2018 at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Carl Whitfield officiating.
