Seminole resident Johnny Curtis Dempsey Jr., died on Friday, June 18, 2021, at the age of 38.
Johnny, the son of Johnny Curtis Dempsey Sr., and Erma (Lyle) Crawford, was born June 26, 1982, in Seminole. Johnny worked for Chemoil. He loved to fish and play guitar; Johnny loved animals, his friends and family called him the animal whisperer; and he was the life of every event he attended.
Johnny was preceded in death by his grandparents, Ermal and Mary Lyle and Loretta and Roy Lee, and an uncle, Robert Dempsey.
He is survived by his parents, Erma and Randy Crawford and Johnny Dempsey Sr., and wife; his children, Alicia La’Cole Love Dempsey, Aiden Prentice, and Halie Dempsey; grandchildren, Avery Dempsey, Able Dempsey and Ansleigh Dempsey; siblings, Brandon Lyle, Angel Lee and Justin White, Cassey Bonds, Heather Dempsey, Preston Crawford, Justin Dempsey, Riyah Dempsey, and Nate Crawford; 19 nieces and nephews; Marie and Larry Beauford, Bianca Beauford and Mary Loftis, and many other aunts, uncles and cousins; Luke Williams, Matt Mooney, Chad O’Neil, and many other friends.
Funeral service will be Friday, June 25, 2021, at 2:00 P.M., at the Swearingen Funeral Chapel, Seminole. Viewing will be Wednesday and Thursday, from 8:00 A.M. to 7:00 P.M. at Swearingen Funeral Home.
