Johnnie Eulene (Smith) Riddle, 88 longtime Seminole and Wewoka resident, passed away Wednesday, January 9, 2019 at Seminole Care and Rehab Center in Seminole, Oklahoma. Johnnie was born on August 10, 1930 to John Hamilton Smith and Dixie Lee (Collins) Smith, in Wewoka, Oklahoma where she grew up and attended public school. Johnnie and her son Jerry Riddle also lived in Norman, Oklahoma for 22 years before moving back to Wewoka. Johnnie married her husband James Luther Riddle in January 1957 in Wewoka, Oklahoma. Johnnie worked for over 20 years at the Green Spray Market in Wewoka, Oklahoma and Wrangler in Seminole for over 10 years as an Inspector before her retirement. She was a member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary and served as past president of the auxiliary. She worked during elections at several precincts in Seminole County during elections for 60 years. She also attended the Wewoka Senior Citizens Center. She is survived by her two daughters; Johnnie Henry and Sheila Egge both of Wewoka, Oklahoma, three grandchildren; Tony Henry of Tahlequah, Oklahoma, Jerris Spruell of Wilburton, Oklahoma and Chelsea Egge of Wewoka, Oklahoma, and two great grandchildren Brinleigh Spruell, and Kaynaan Henry along with numerous cousins. Johnnie was preceded in death by her parents, and her son Jerry Lynn Riddle. Graveside memorial services will be held on Saturday, February 2, 2019 at 2:00 P.M. at the Oakwood Cemetery in Wewoka, Oklahoma, with Rev. Dan Factor officiating. The family would like to give a special thanks to the staff of Seminole Care and Rehab for their fine care, Dr. Krablin, medical director of Seminole Care and Rehab and Emerald Hospice.
