John Robertson

John Jackson Robertson, 90 year-old lifelong Seminole County resident passed from this life Sunday, May 4, 2008 at Oklahoma Heart Hospital in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He was born October 6, 1917 in Wolf, Oklahoma to parents Jessie Elijah "J.E." Robertson and Losogee "Rose" (Harjo) Robertson.rnrnJohn served in the United States Army during WWII where he earned a World War II Victory Ribbon. He married Willie Mae Robertson on February 28, 1936 in Seminole, Oklahoma. She preceded him in death on July 17, 2006.rnrnJohn worked as a self-employed welder until his retirement in 1985. He and his wife enjoyed playing with other local county musicians "Real County Music". John would play the guitar and fiddle and Willie would play the keyboard.rnrnSurvivors include his daughter, Rose L. Reich of Maud, Oklahoma; six grandchildren, Kim, Susie, Justin, Clint, Raylene and Kelly. 12 great grandchildren also survive him.rnrnJohn was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Willie Mae Robertson (July 17, 2006), three sons, Jimmy Ray Robertson who died in 1945, due to a miscarriage caused by a tornado that came through Del City, Oklahoma and injured Willie Mae while she was carrying her soon expectant son. Two other sons also preceded him in death, Jack Robertson (1976) and Max Robertson (1998).rnrnGraveside services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 7, 2008 at Wolf Cemetery with Rev.
