Longtime Pottawatomie county resident John Anthony Kernell passed away on Sunday, August 31, 2008 in Shawnee, Oklahoma at the age of 32. rnrnHe was born on June 26, 1976 to Rocky and Maria (McClure) Kernell in Fort Smith, Arkansas. rnrnHe was a member of the New Life World Outreach Center in Shawnee and worked as a cook at McDonald?s. rnrnHe is survived by his father, Rocky Kernell of Shawnee, Oklahoma, sister and brother-in-law; Jessica and Donnell Richardson, two nephews, Anthony Kernell and Alexander RichardsonrnrnHe is preceded in death by his mother, Maria Kernell, grandfathers, Simeon Kernell and Benjamin McClure, grandmother, Amelia Kernell and two uncles Cecil Kernell and S.J. Kernell, Jr. and one aunt, Debbie McClure. rnrnFuneral services are scheduled for 11:00am, Thursday, September 4, 2008 at New Life World Outreach Center in Shawnee, Oklahoma with Keith Ward officiating. Interment will follow at Kernell Family Cemetery, Seminole County, Oklahoma.
