John Charles Henry Jackson III, age 70 of Wimberly, Texas, passed away on October 1, 2020 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He was born September 28, 1950 in Syracuse, New York to parents John Charles Henry Jackson, Jr. and Elizabeth Jane (Burkhart) Jackson. He was a high school graduate. John married Regina April (Deemer) Jackson on March 20, 1985 in Phoenix, Arizona.
John went to and graduated from the Police Academy in Phoenix, Arizona and was in the top 3 of his class in 1983. He worked in corrections for 4 years. After that he went on to own his own fabrication shop in Mesa, Arizona. He later moved his family to Texas where they lived for the next 12 years. In that time, he worked for Porch Brothers, Inc. He started there as a shop hand and within 12 years he had 8 promotions to become a steel auto CAD Draftsman and was a draftsman until he retired at the age of 64. He always said his greatest accomplishment was his pride and joy, his son John Charles.
Leaving to cherish John’s memory are his wife; Regina Jackson of Wimberly, Texas, his sons; Robert Jackson of Seattle, Washington and John Charles Jackson IV of Alexandria, Virginia, his daughters; Rebecca Doherty of Murrieta, California, Deborah Gates of Homestead, Tennessee, Candice Hannah of Holdenville, Oklahoma, Kimberly Wright of Prescott Valley, Arizona and Victoria Lucas of Ponchatoula, Louisiana, his brother; Mathew Jackson of Austin, Texas, his sister; Betty Jane Jackson of Mountain Home, Arkansas and 13 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father who passed away in 1985, his mother who passed away in 2010 and two granddaughters; Millie Lucas and Jaxilynn Jackson.
Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, Oklahoma.
