John Roy Fennell, longtime Seminole resident, entered eternal life on September 3, 2020 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma at the age of 92 years old. John was born April 26, 1928 in Pernell, Oklahoma to John Roy, Sr. and Virgie Naomi (Coker) Fennell.
John married Bonnie Jean (Fisher) February 12, 1952 in Van Buren, Arkansas; sadly Bonnie preceded John in death on May 11, 2015.
John enjoyed fishing and watching westerns. Even though he was 92, he still planted his vegetable garden this summer. He liked the older country/western singers, especially Gene Autry.
John leaves to cherish his memory; two sons, Scott and his wife Priscilla Fennell of Norman, Oklahoma and Rocky Fennell of Seminole, Oklahoma; one daughter, Ginger and her husband Tim Stottlemyre of Edmond, Oklahoma; one sister, Rosa Lee Bolin; four grandchildren, Kymber Fennell-Lewis, Aidan Stottlemyre, Shelbe Fennell, and Rianna Stottlemyre; one great grandson, Cooper Matthew Fennell Lewis.
John is preceded in death by his parents, John Sr. and Virgie Fennell, his wife, Bonnie Fennell and three sisters, Mary Ann Manuel, Naomi Danhouse, and Helen Jo Earl.
A graveside service will take place at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens in Seminole, Oklahoma at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, September 8, 2020 with Rev. Carl Whitfield officiating.
